Volunteers Needed to Help Build a NEW Playground at Cascade View Community Park – Saturday, July 8th

We’re Building a NEW Playground at Cascade View Community Park….…and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Tukwila Parks and Recreation is the recipient of a KaBOOM! playground grant, funded by Foresters Financial.   A new and expanded playground will be installed at Cascade View Community Park on Saturday, July 8, 2017.    Cascade View Community Park is one of Tukwila’s most frequented and played in parks – children and adults gather in the park to socialize, play games, and enjoy the park’s amenities.   Play is central to a child’s ability to grow into a productive adult. Let’s ensure kids get the balance of play they need to thrive!

Parks and Recreation needs 160 volunteers to help with the build and installation of the playground.       Are you available on July 8?   Would you like to help make the park a better place for kids to play?   All you need is a go-getter attitude and a smile – no playground building experience is necessary.          We are also seeking volunteers to be team leaders – again, there is no experience necessary except the desire to lead and motivate a team.      In addition to the big build day, there is a site preparation day on Thursday, July 6th, approximately 25-30 volunteers are needed.
