Fitness & Wellness

Fitness & Wellness with Tukwila Parks and Recreation includes physical and emotional health endeavors.  Staff are committed to providing opportunities that help people feel good!  Whether its an in-person or online  yoga, cycling, group fitness class, or a walk on one of Tukwila’s trails, there are accessible fitness and wellness options at your fingertips – even during a pandemic.  The benefits of a personal fitness routine are endless – increased energy levels, less stress, better sleep, focus, and a positive change in attitude.

In-Person Fitness    

Fitness Room Sessions:  The fitness room contains cardio and weight equipment.  A maximum of five people are permitted into the fitness room and advance reservations are required.  Sessions are 1.5 hours and individuals can secure space up to two weeks in advance.

Group Fitness Classes:  Yoga, Group Power, Centergy, and GroupRide are currently being offered.  The large gymnasium at the Tukwila Community Center has been transformed into a group fitness class space that can accommodate up to 15 participants.   Advance class registration is required and individuals can secure space up to two weeks in advance.

Personal Training: Personal training is a GREAT way to get back into a fitness routine, kick up a routine, or try something new.   One on one training sessions are available, email 

Fees:  Fitness users can purcahse a one-time drop in fee or membership.  Drop in fees can be paid online when reserving a fitness or class time.  Memberships can be purchased by emailing: or calling 206-768-2822

NEW Safety Requirements

Health and safety continues to be our number one priority and the following will be required upon each entry to help protect everyone’s health.

  • COVID screening, including temperature checks will be taken at the door.
  • Customers are required to wear a mask/face covering anytime you are in the building, except when exercising.
  • Everyone will sanitize their hands upon entry and will be encouraged to sanitize often during their visit.
  • Arrive dressed to workout, as locker rooms will only be open for handwashing and restroom use.
  • Water fountains will be available for filling your bottles only.
  • Towels and mats will not be offered, you may bring your own.

Silver & Fit  This exercise and healthy aging program is specifically designed for older adults who want to improve their quality of life through exercise and fun.
