Our Fitness and Wellness staff are committed to providing opportunities that help people feel good, be healthy, and have fun.

Covid-19

Updated 6/30/21:   In accordance with the Healthy Washington – Roadmap to Recovery Plan, The City of Tukwila and Tukwila Parks and Recreation are continuing to implement several health and safety measures to help limit the spread of Covid-19.  All participants are required to wear masks in common areas.  Masks are optional only for Fully Vaccinated participants while actively exercising.

Please do not visit if you are feeling ill or have been around someone else who has felt ill.

Fees & Membership

Become a member of the Tukwila Community Center Fitness and Wellness Program to receive discounts, special program offerings, and more.  You do not need to be a member to use the facility, affordable drop-in fees are also an option.  Note, at this time, appointments are no longer necessary for fitness room use. Adult Memberships 54 and Younger

Ongoing Monthly Membership to include Group Fitness Classes & Fitness Room – $40 per month

Ongoing Monthly Membership for Fitness Room Only- $35 per month

Annual Membership to include Group Fitness Classes & Fitness Room – $420 (savings of $60)

Annual Membership to just include Fitness Room – $360 (savings of $60)

Senior Memberships 55 and Older

Ongoing Monthly Membership to include Group Fitness Classes & Fitness Room – $30 per month

Fitness Area Options: 

Fitness Room: This space includes circuit equipment, free weights, treadmill, stair stepper recumbent bike, and an upright bike, for additional options, please see additional spaces.

Cardio Studio:  This space includes elliptical, recumbent bike, rowing machine, space for ab workouts. Free weights can be brought into the space.  Max Occupancy: up to 3 people from the same household.

TCC Fitness Hours 

Monday – Thursday – 6:30am – 6:30pm

Fridays – 6:30am – 2:30pm

Saturdays 7:30 – 10:30 am

Group Fitness Classes

In-person group fitness classes can be reserved up to two weeks in advance.  Click Here for Appointments/reservations  Classes are taught by well-trained, highly motivating instructors in a fun and safe environment.

Older Adult Fitness & Wellness

INTRODUCTION TO PICKLEBALL WITH MARLUS
Tuesdays: 1:30 -2:30 – Begins July 13th (no class 7/20)
Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the US because
it is a great activity for all ages and abilities and it is easy
to learn. Learn the basics of Pickleball: scoring, serving,
etiquette and strategies. All equipment is provided.
Space is limited to four people per class.

SILVER SNEAKERS WITH SUZANNE
Tuesdays: 10:00 – 11:00am– begins July 6th
Designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and improve activities for daily living. Low Impact training suitable for all fitness levels, a chair may be used for seated exercises and standing support. Class can be modified depending on fitness levels.

FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH TRAINING WITH JOCELYN
Wednesdays: 8:00 – 9:00am– begins July 7th
Movements designed to strengthen and tighten all your muscles improving your posture, balance, core, strength, coordination, and range of motion. This class aims to increase your energy and strength to perform daily activities with minimal pain and injury. Participants can expect standing and floor exercises.

TAI CHI with John
Thursdays: 1:00 – 2:00pm– begins July 8th
The class will introduce you to the basic movements of Tai Chi. The focus will be
designed to increase balance, strength, relaxation, flexibility,
and improve breathing through gentle movement. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Virtual Partner Programs:

YOGA & STRETCHING
A free & fun weekly 1-hour Virtual yoga practice for LGBTQIA+ older adults, and their family, loved ones, allies, or caregivers. Previous experience with yoga or stretching is not required. Come join us and move a little while having a whole lot of fun! Mondays – 11:00am, Wednesday & Fridays 3:30PM

Silver & Fit   This exercise and healthy aging program is specifically designed for older adults who want to improve their quality of life through exercise and fun.
