DESCRIPTION:Spokes for Folks @ Tukwila Community Center\n\n\n\n\n\nThe 4th annual Spokes for Folks event raises money for the SHAG Community Life Foundation’s programs and celebrates our goal of health\, wellness and community for all of our residents. \nSpokes for Folks offers a 40 & 25 mile round trip for bicyclists\, an 8 mile round trip for bicyclists\, runners and walkers\, and a half-mile fun loop course. Walkers\, runners and riders enjoy Celebration Stations with refreshments\, bathroom breaks and cheering support teams. At the finish line\, all participants join a community celebration with live music\, entertainers\, a beer garden and great food. \nONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR SPOKES 2016!  \nHowever\,   you can still attend!    You can come Saturday and register on-site if you arrive at the listed check-in times and pay there.      See you Saturday!\n\n40 Mile Route:    7:30am check-in\, 8:00am ride\n25 Mile Route:    9:00am check-in\, 9:30am ride\n8 Mile Run/Walk:    9:30am check-in\, 10am run/walk\n8 Mile Ride:    10:00am check-in\, 10:30am ride\nHalf-Mile Fun Loop:    10:30am check-in\, 11am ride/run/walk (where you can try out fun bikes from Outdoors for All!)\nCommunity Celebration:    11am performances start\, 12pm: Lunch & Prize Ceremony!\n\n\n\nThe money raised goes to SHAG’s Community Life Foundation\, which provides heath\, transportation\, and other services to lower income seniors.   More information is available at: http://shag.org/s4f/

DESCRIPTION:Come join us at the Duwamish Hill Preserve and help us to tackle some invasive weeds\, and to spread some mulch in hopes of keeping this habitat happy and healthy! This is a great way to give back to your community through environmental service\, and also is an awesome opportunity to meet some new faces\, to get your hands dirty\, and to do something beneficial for the earth! \nInterested in volunteering with us at the Duwamish Hill Preserve? Please register below so we know to expect you! \nWhat to bring: Please dress for the weather. Boots or comfortable athletic shoes\, work clothes\, appropriate layers for rain and sun. Volunteers should also bring a refillable water bottle and snacks.   Restoration training\, tools and gloves will be provided. No experience necessary! \nWhere to meet: We will meet at the parking lot at the 115th St. Duwamish Hill Preserve entrance. \nYouth volunteers: If you are under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian\, please come to the event with a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
