The news reached them two and a half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. The pass is required to park on state lands managed by Parks\, DNR and WDFW. Purchasing a Discover Pass helps all three agencies preserve and conserve public lands for future generations. As New Roots gained access to farmland in Kent in 2021\, existing and new growers gained opportunity to increase their production\, in turn growing the number of beginning farmers participating at the market. In 2025\, IRC New Roots took on sole management of the market after Global 2 Local closed its doors.
