Tukwila’s program and\ninitiative are called “Green Tukwila.”   Together with Forterra\, EarthCorps\, Duwamish Alive Coalition\, Dirt Corps\, King County Parks\, and the Tukwila community\, Green Tukwila will care for public parks and natural open spaces across the city. Throughout the next 20 years\, the partnership will work to restore and maintain 138 acres of Tukwila’s urban forest.\n\n\n\n\n\nGET INVOLVED TODAY!\nTo do this great work we need everyone’s help. We’ll also collect cash and nonperishable donations to support a non-profit in your neighborhood. \nAll events will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.\, and we’ll shred until the trucks are full. \nMain event highlights \n\nPaper documents are a common source of identity theft. Bring up to three grocery bags of sensitive documents for us to shred at no cost to you.\nYou may also bring old TVs\, desktop computers\, computer monitors\, laptops and cellphones for safe disposal. A small recycle fee may apply to some electronic items including printers and VCRs.\nBring cash and nonperishable donations to support neighbors in need. DESCRIPTION:SeaTac Fall Recycling Event\n\nDate:10/22/2022 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM\nTyee High School –  4424 South 188th St\, SeaTac\, Washington 98188\n\n\n\nThe City of SeaTac will be hosting a recycling event for all King County residents. \nMaterials to be collected for free are: secure document shredding\, scrap metal\, porcelain\, motor oil\, tires\, anti-freeze\, household goods\, Styrofoam\, plastic bags\, batteries\, CFL light Bulbs\, electronics\, plastic film and paint\, including latex\, oil based and stains/varnish. \n  \nOrganizers are also requesting the following precautions be met: \n\n\n\nWe strongly discourage you from attending if you are at increased risk of complications due to COVID-19 – This includes people 60 years or older\, and those with underlying medical conditions.\nDon’t attend if you are sick or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19\, or if someone in your household is.\nStay in your vehicle and follow directions by staff.\nIf you must get out of your vehicle\, keep at least six feet of space between yourself and others.\nDo not touch your face.\nWash your hands for at least 20 seconds frequently when possible or use alcohol-based sanitizer as an alternative if handwashing is not available.\nWe encourage you to wear a facemask\nPlease be patient as delays can be expected due to event staff maintaining social distancing and customers holding on to items during the “Stay Home\, Stay Healthy” order.\n\n\n\n
