DESCRIPTION:City offices are closed and Tukwila Community Center has modified open hours from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. \nWe will host a fun family event at the Sullivan Center to commemorate Juneteenth.  See below for information. \n** JUNETEENTH COMMEMORATION EVENT ** \nJoin us for the free Tukwila’s 6th annual commemoration of Juneteenth event.  The City of Tukwila welcomes the community to come together for its 6th Annual Juneteenth Commemoration. This year’s theme is Black Joy as Resilience.  This event is free and open to the public. \n11:00 AM – 1:30 PM \nSullivan Center \n14350 Tukwila Int’l Blvd \nGuest speakers and performers: \n\nKeynote Speaker Rev. Dr. Leslie D. Braxton\nKing County Councilmember Rhonda Lewis\nDaughters of Royalty Drill Team\nVocalist Jayza Duhon\nThe Throwbacks Dance Team\nDJ Sean Lewis\n\nAttendees will receive a complimentary meal from Kayla’s Kookin and a beautiful\, commemorative poster reflecting this year’s theme – Black Joy as Resilience – while supplies last.
