SUMMARY:Special Planning Commission - Comprehensive Plan Public Hearing
DESCRIPTION:The City of Tukwila Planning Commission will conduct a virtual and in-person Public Hearing to solicit public testimony on the Draft 2024-2044 Update to the City of Tukwila Comprehensive Plan. \nSUMMARY:  \nThe Comprehensive Plan provides the policy framework that will establish the City’s priorities and programs for the next twenty years. These amendments address changes in legislative requirements\, regional and countywide policy changes\, new conditions existing in the City of Tukwila\, and public input received at community outreach events held over the last two years. Many of the updated policies focus on how the City will address issues of housing availability and affordability\, climate change preparedness and resiliency\, and equity for all community members. \nPUBLIC COMMENT:  \nThose wishing to provide public comments will have the opportunity do so as follows:\nAdvanced Written Comments: Written comments may be submitted up to 5:00 PM the day before the Public Hearing (March 13\, 2024) to Department of Community Development\, Planning Division 6200 Southcenter Blvd\, Tukwila\, WA 98188\, or by email to 2044CompPlan@TukwilaWA.gov. \nComments received in advance will be forwarded to the Planning Commission. \n\nWritten Comments:  Written comments may also be submitted during the hearing.
