DESCRIPTION:Tukwila must submit a Stormwater Management Program Plan each year to the state Department of Ecology as a requirement of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit. The stormwater plan describes actions the City may take in the upcoming year to meet federal water quality protection requirements.Tukwila is one of more than 100 communities in Washington that must implement requirements for the NPDES Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit. DESCRIPTION:In an effort to educate commercial and multifamily building owners about the Washington Clean Buildings Performance Standard\, Puget Sound Energy and Seattle City Light will host a joint open house event on: \n Wednesday\, May 14  \n8:00 am to 1:00 pm \nTukwila Community Center – 12424 42nd Ave S \nClick Here to Register \n** For the highest level of support\, we recommend you bring a laptop and a recent PSE and/or Seattle City Light utility bill. \nThe focus region for this event is outside the city limits of Seattle. We want to support building owners and operators who are already underway in their compliance journey as well as those that haven’t yet heard of the law.
