SUMMARY:Duwamish Shoreline Work Party
DESCRIPTION:Spend a lovely afternoon along the Duwamish River clearing out invasive weeds along the shoreline. We’ll have a great view of an osprey nest and some occasional otter and bunny sightings while we work next to the river. What greater way to start you weekend than by getting your hands dirty\, convening with nature and doing something great for your community and the environment. \nWhat to Bring: Please come prepared with weather appropriate clothes\, close-toed shoes\, and a water bottle. We’ll provide the gloves\, tools and training! DESCRIPTION:Come join us at the Duwamish Hill Preserve and help us to tackle some invasive weeds\, and to spread some mulch in hopes of keeping this habitat happy and healthy! This is a great way to give back to your community through environmental service\, and also is an awesome opportunity to meet some new faces\, to get your hands dirty\, and to do something beneficial for the earth! \nInterested in volunteering with us at the Duwamish Hill Preserve? Please register below so we know to expect you! \nWhat to bring: Please dress for the weather. Boots or comfortable athletic shoes\, work clothes\, appropriate layers for rain and sun. Volunteers should also bring a refillable water bottle and snacks.   Restoration training\, tools and gloves will be provided. No experience necessary! \nWhere to meet: We will meet at the parking lot at the 115th St. Duwamish Hill Preserve entrance. \nYouth volunteers: If you are under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian\, please come to the event with a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
