DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow Sounders FC fans at the 2018 Seattle Sounders FC Rave Green Run presented by CHI Franciscan Health.   This year’s race\, a fun and fast 5K\, is offered in the new location of Tukwila\, WA – providing runners with an authentic Sounders FC experience as they run along Tukwila’s beautiful trails through Starfire Sports campus. DESCRIPTION:This Fall come out to explore the Duwamish Hill Preserve while preparing the site for planting in October. You may catch a glimpse of birds flying overhead while working hard to remove invasive species like Scots Broom. This gem of a park is a culturally significant site in our region\, and can use more helping hands to assist in its restoration. Invite your friends\, family\, and coworkers to get your hands dirty at this monthly work party! \nDate: Saturday\, September 15 \nTime: 10 am to 1 pm \nLocation: Duwamish Hill Preserve \n\n  \nTo sign up to volunteer\, and for more information\, please email volunteer@forterra.org\nLearn more:  https://forterra.org/subpage/duwamish-hill-preserve   \n  \nWhat to bring:  Come dressed for the weather (rain or shine) in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Help reduce waste by bringing your own refillable water bottle if you have one. \nAll ages are welcome\, but we encourage all volunteers under the age of 15 to be accompanied by an adult. We are now serving every school in the district and there will be plenty of new volunteer positions opening up in SnackPack assembly & distribution\, food drives\, our annual auction and so much more. \n\n\n\n\n\nOne place where we really need a steady flow of volunteers is our secondary distribution site. At the elementary schools\, we drop off SnackPacks at each student’s classroom. For Foster HS and Showalter MS we have set up a mobile self-serve pantry at Tukwila Village. We need volunteers on Fridays from 2:00  pm – 4:00  pm to help set up\, serve\, do crowd control\, pick up garbage\, and to generally interact with the kids. This is the only volunteer team that actually gets to interact with our students.
