DESCRIPTION:  \nStill Waters’ Tukwila SnackPack Online Auction will be from 5 pm – 9 pm on May 2!   **   $10 ticket sales deadline extended to May 2.   **\nOur goal this year is to raise $75\,000\, which will help provide much needed food to hungry students in Tukwila. \nWe will have three openings for bidding at this year’s auction.  \n\nLevel A: (Open for bidding at 5 pm): Family activities and museum memberships\nLevel B: (Open for bidding at 6 pm): Restaurant certificates and sports items\nLevel C: (Open for bidding at 7 pm): Arts\, theater\, and travel opportunities Each level will remain open for bidding until 9 pm\, when the auction closes. Auction items are listed in order of their opening time\, and the entry for each item indicates when it is available for bidding. Spend some time getting familiar with the different levels by visiting our online catalog. Throughout the evening different videos will be premiering on our FB page and on our YouTube channel. Be sure to visit those pages the week of the auction to set reminders so that you receive notification when those videos go live.\n\n  \n\nREGISTER ONLINE \n\nVisit charityauction.bid/tuksnackpack to register for the event by purchasing a ticket for the low price of $10.\nGive your snail mail address as well as email when you register since many of the auction items will be  mailed out to winning bidders.\n\nIf you have donated to our Emergency SnackPack Fund\, you are already registered for the event. Refer to your email receipt for your access code or contact us to resend the code to you. \nCREATE A LOGIN \n\nVisit charityauction.bid/tuksnackpack and create a login to our auction website. This can be done at the time of registration. The access code you receive in your email receipt will facilitate this.\nIf you prefer to bid using your smartphone\, download the Auctria app from Google Play or Apple App Store. DESCRIPTION:  \nDue to the Covid-19 pandemic\, this event has been cancelled. Please check back for future events at the Duwamish Hill Preserve.  \n\n \n\nMake the most of your Saturday by getting outside\, getting dirty and giving back! Join the dedicated Friends of the Hill- a group of enthusiastic volunteers who steward the Duwamish Hill Preserve so that the Tukwila community can continue to enjoy this amazing community resource. Be part of keeping the urban forest healthy by removing harmful\, invaisve weeds that threaten the health of our urban forest. \nEveryone can help! All ages are welcome and no experience is necessary. We provide all of the tools and training needed.  So bring along your friends and family and get your hands dirty! \nIf you would like to RSVP for this event\, let us know at volunteer@forterra.org! \nWhen: Saturday\, May 16th; 10:00am – 1:00pm \nWhere: The Duwamish Hill Preserve (3800 S 115th St\, Tukwila\, WA 98168) \nWhere to park:  There’s a small parking lot on site\, and street parking available on 115th St. \nWhat to bring: Please dress for the weather because we will be working rain or shine! Boots or comfortable athletic shoes\, work clothes\, appropriate layers for rain and sun. Volunteers should also bring a refillable water bottle. We will bring all the tools\, training\, and gloves! \nYouth volunteers: If you are under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian\, please come to the event with a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Youth Waiver for Forterra Restoration Events can be found here. \nAbout the Property: In 2001\, Forterra\, the City of Tukwila\, and a local citizen group formed a partnership to work for the preservation of an undeveloped parcel of land on the Duwamish River. The property will be managed as a public open space preserve devoted to the interpretation of the site’s Native American cultural significance and other aspects of Duwamish River Valley natural and cultural history. The Hill is culturally significant for its association with southern Puget Sound Salish oral tradition and history\, as a key location in the stories collectively known as the “Epic of the Winds.”  For more information\, visit the Duwamish Hill website. \nForterra is a proud partner of the Duwamish Alive Coalition\, which is a collaborative effort of local communities\, municipalities\, non-profits and businesses within the Duwamish River Watershed to preserve and enhance habitat for people and wildlife towards improving the health of the Puget Sound.   The Coalition works to improve the ecological health of our watershed through community engagement and volunteer-based habitat restoration. \n+ Google Calendar+ iCal Export
