DESCRIPTION:Tukwila Parks and Recreation has joined forces with the Rotary Club of SeaTac-Tukwila for the 2022 Spirit of Giving Campaign. Together\, we can reduce financial stress for caregivers and help create a time of ease and joy for Tukwila children. \nWhy help? \n\nThis is your chance to help Tukwila families in need as we enter the winter season.\nThis program relies on $40\,000 (in gifts and cash for care packages) to help 175 families and 350 kids in Tukwila this December.\nSpecial toys\, cozy items\, hygiene essentials\, and gift cards to ensure a heal­thy\, happy winter.\n\nLast year this program helped over 300 children. This year let’s help even more children! DESCRIPTION:GREEN TUKWILA PARTNERSHIP is restoring 138 acres of forest and open green spaces over the next 20 years. The only way to accomplish this goal is with the support of partners and volunteers. Thank you for being a part of the solution!\n\n\n\n\nGreen Tukwila is following Public Health Guidelines to keep volunteers and staff safe during work parties. \nJoin friends\, neighbors\, and bring your families outside to learn about trees\, shrubs\, invasive plants\, how to use tools\, and much more. Work parties are being planned for community members and businesses to care for precious urban forests and to ensure healthy\, safe\, and beautiful public spaces to enjoy in the future. \n\nUPCOMING EVENTS\nVolunteer work parties and workshops have limited numbers to ensure the safety of stewards\, volunteers\, and staff.
