We are now serving every school in the district and there will be plenty of new volunteer positions opening up in SnackPack assembly & distribution\, food drives\, our annual auction and so much more. \n\n\n\n\n\nOne place where we really need a steady flow of volunteers is our secondary distribution site. At the elementary schools\, we drop off SnackPacks at each student’s classroom. For Foster HS and Showalter MS we have set up a mobile self-serve pantry at Tukwila Village. We need volunteers on Fridays from 2:00  pm – 4:00  pm to help set up\, serve\, do crowd control\, pick up garbage\, and to generally interact with the kids. This is the only volunteer team that actually gets to interact with our students.

You may catch a glimpse of birds flying overhead while working hard to remove invasive species like Scots Broom. This gem of a park is a culturally significant site in our region\, and can use more helping hands to assist in its restoration. DESCRIPTION:  \nAction Tukwila holds monthly meetings on the 3rd Thursday of each month.  All who are interested in the goal of building community in Tukwila are welcome! \n  \nAction Tukwila took shape in 2016.  Its seed was an informal group of citizens who wanted to explore ideas for projects that would build a vibrant community and help people who live in Tukwila thrive. \nThe group’s first project was a record-breaking community gathering: Come Sit at Our Table – The World’s Largest Potluck. For one glorious August afternoon\, the northbound lanes of Tukwila International Boulevard closed to traffic.  More than 1\,500 people came together to enjoy food\, dance\, music\, and soccer with their neighbors. \nNow a 501(c)(3)\,  Action Tukwila continues to evolve and launch new projects.
