DESCRIPTION:Spokes for Folks @ Tukwila Community Center\n\n\n\n\n\nThe 4th annual Spokes for Folks event raises money for the SHAG Community Life Foundation’s programs and celebrates our goal of health\, wellness and community for all of our residents. \nSpokes for Folks offers a 40 & 25 mile round trip for bicyclists\, an 8 mile round trip for bicyclists\, runners and walkers\, and a half-mile fun loop course. Walkers\, runners and riders enjoy Celebration Stations with refreshments\, bathroom breaks and cheering support teams. Additionally\, participants will learn what opportunities for restoration are available for your land. Workshop participants will be eligible to borrow the county’s knotweed stem-injectors for use on their own land\, at no cost. \nWorkshop participants will learn practical information on how to effectively get rid of knotweed on their property. Knotweed is a bright green\, bamboo-like plant that is conspicuous this time of year along King County roads and rivers\, and in numerous backyards and parks.
