DESCRIPTION:  \nHigh School internship program applications available April 1. \nWe are currently recruiting for the third year of our high school internship program. Applications are due no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday\, April 30.   Interviews will take place between May 7 and May 17\, and all applicants will be notified of their determination by May 27. \nThe internship will take place between July 8 and August 30. This year each department will host an intern\, providing students a broader opportunity to learn about City government\, careers in city government\, and skills that are transferrable across many fields and work places. \nIf you know someone who would be interested in this opportunity\, have them apply! For a few positions\, students must be 18 years or older\, but for most\, they need to be at least 14 years old\,  and enrolled in high school. High school seniors are eligible for these internships. \nThe Internship application will be available on the City’s Employment Opportunities website starting on April 1. We look forward to hosting our third cohort of high school students this summer.
