DESCRIPTION:Make your impact on Martin Luther King Day and give back to the forests of Tukwila! Dig in with the Green Tukwila Partnership at one of two events happening on January 15th as an effort to benefit the health of Tukwila’s forests. Get your hands dirty by helping to remove invasive weeds   and mulch native plants from the city’s forests and shorelines.  This is a great way to give back to your local community\, to meet some new faces and\, to spend the morning doing something good outside! \nRestoration training\, tools and gloves will be provided. DESCRIPTION:Green Tukwila Day –         October 14\, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHelp us to celebrate our first-ever Green Tukwila Day! This will be a day focused on bettering the health of Tukwila’s forests. Volunteers will plant trees and other plants that will become the future forest of the park. All community members are welcome\, and no experience is necessary! The event is family friendly and open to all ages. \nDate: October 14th\, 2017\nTime: 9am to Noon \nLocation: Tukwila Park \n15460 65th Ave S\, Tukwila\, WA 98188 \nSign Up Here to Volunteer for Green Tukwila Day!\nWhat to bring: Come dressed for the weather (rain or shine) in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes (rubber boots\, hiking/tennis shoes)\, long sleeves\, long pants\, warm layers and rain jacket. We’ll have tools and gloves for you to use\, as well as coffee\, water\, and a mid-morning snack. Help reduce waste by bringing your own refillable coffee mug/water bottle if you have one. \nAll ages welcome\, but we encourage all volunteers under the age of 15 to be accompanied by an adult. If you are a volunteer under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian\, please print and bring this waiver signed by a parent or guardian. \nIf you are intersted in volutneering for Green Tukwila Day\, please sign up using the link below!
