SUMMARY:SnackPack Oodles of Noodles Food Drive
DESCRIPTION:  \nSnackPack   gearing up for our 2019 Fall Launch of the Tukwila Weekend SnackPack Program and there are lots of ways you can plug in! This Saturday\, September 14\, 2019 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm we will be having an Oodles of Noodles Food Drive Challenge at Saar’s Super Saver Foods – 3725 S 144th St. \nSnackPack expert crew of volunteers from the Rotary Club of SeaTac-Tukwila will be on hand to give you shopping lists and receive your generous donations of food. Although our goal is to collect 1\,000 Cup Noodles\, we will be asking for other donations\, such as bottled water and boxes of heart healthy cereal. Thanks to GM Pat Senn of Saar’s Super Saver Foods for offering to have key foods on display at the entrance to the store for your shopping convenience. Since our first distribution will not take place until the middle of October\, we will NOT be accepting donations of produce at this time.

We are now serving every school in the district and there will be plenty of new volunteer positions opening up in SnackPack assembly & distribution\, food drives\, our annual auction and so much more. \n\n\n\n\n\nOne place where we really need a steady flow of volunteers is our secondary distribution site. At the elementary schools\, we drop off SnackPacks at each student’s classroom. For Foster HS and Showalter MS we have set up a mobile self-serve pantry at Tukwila Village. We need volunteers on Fridays from 2:00  pm – 4:00  pm to help set up\, serve\, do crowd control\, pick up garbage\, and to generally interact with the kids. This is the only volunteer team that actually gets to interact with our students.
