DESCRIPTION:APPLY  FOR THE COMMUNITY POLICE ACADEMY –     FREE TRAINING STARTS ON MARCH 7!\nThe Community Police Academy will meet every Wednesday for 12 weeks from March 7  through May 30. There will be two Saturday classes as well for hands on firearms and driving training. \nThis is a 13-week opportunity for people who work or live in Tukwila to learn about the Tukwila Police Department and what officers have to know to do their job and also hear about what officers see and experience here in our City. \nSome of the topics covered are: \n\nSWAT\nLocal gangs\nThe court process\nFirearms\nCivil Disturbance Unit\nMajor Crimes Investigation\nAnd much more\n\nApplications for the Community Police Academy can be picked up at the front desk of the police department.
