SUMMARY:National Night Out Against Crime
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, August 2nd is of National Night Out Against Crime! This is a night for America to stand together and promote awareness\, safety\, and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in our fight for a safer nation. On NNO\, we invite neighborhoods citywide to join us and “give crime a going away party”. \nREGISTER YOUR EVENT\nPlease visit the Night Out Against Crime page or contact Community Policing Coordinator Chris Partman at c.partman@tukwilawa.gov or 206-431-2197 for more information or to register your event. \n  \nTukwila Police and Fire Departments as well as City Council members\, Code Enforcement officers and Tukwila Human Services representatives will visit each neighborhood event that “registers” their event by Wednesday\, July 27th.   Register early to receive a packet of crime prevention material to have on hand for your event!   Target Corporation is a national sponsor to NNO.   Southcenter Target employees will be riding with City personnel visiting neighborhood parties with free prizes for kids. \nTypes of neighborhood events vary.   Most neighborhoods plan a potluck bar-b-que to take advantage of the wide and wonderful ethnic food contributions Tukwila residents have to offer.   Don’t limit your ideas!   This is your time to bring your neighbors together for a fun evening. \nLet’s make this the biggest Night Out Against Crime ever in Tukwila!   Police and other City representatives will be available to visit your neighborhood event after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday\, August 2nd.
