SUMMARY:Tukwila Historical Society: Stories of Arrival
DESCRIPTION:MONTHLY STORIES OF ARRIVAL WITH GUEST SPEAKERS \nHosted by the Tukwila Historical Society \nFor generations\, Tukwila has been shaped by the people who chose to build their lives here. From early settlers to immigrant and refugee families\, our city’s history is one of courage\, resilience\, and hope. \nAs our nation navigates challenging times\, many in our community — particularly immigrant and refugee families\, friends\, and neighbors — may be feeling uncertain\, worried\, or unheard.  Now more than ever\, it’s important to create space for connection\, understanding\, and belonging. \nThat is why THS  are launching a new monthly guest speaker series following our regular meetings:  Stories of Arrival.  This event is open to the public\, and we hope you will join us to learn more about why the stories of our residents make our city so special. \nThis series was born from a simple but meaningful idea — to listen.  To hear directly from Tukwila residents about their journeys\, their challenges\, their triumphs\, and what it means to call this city home. \nThe Tukwila Historical Society has always honored our city’s rich past and looked ahead to its future.  With Stories of Arrival\, we are intentionally centering the present — uplifting the voices and lived experiences shaping Tukwila right now. \nWe invite you to join us each month as we celebrate the stories that continue to define our community. \nBecause history isn’t just behind us.  It’s happening here\, together. Let’s continue building a city where everyone belongs. \n✅ For information\, donate or register to be a member\, visit https://tukwilahistoricalsociety.org/ \n________________________________________________________ \nDISCLAIMER:    Third-party links\, resources\, and services are being provided as a convenience and for informational purposes only; the City of Tukwila does not endorse or approve any of the products\, services\, or opinions of these third parties and bears no responsibility for the accuracy\, legality\, or content of the external sites or related links. \nShould you have any questions\, please contact the external sites and providers directly and proceed with caution when accessing any unfamiliar websites or links.
