Save the Date! The 2026 State of the City address takes place on April 29, 2026 This event is an opportunity for Mayor McLeod to connect directly with the Tukwila community and share how our city is doing, where we are headed, and how we can continue working together.
Tukwila students can take part in the Project Recycle Right: 2026 Earth Day Art, Photo, & Video Contest How do you reduce waste, reuse items, and/or recycle correctly? Share a drawing, photo, photo of an art piece, or a short video (60 seconds or less) that you created telling us about your experience embarking on Project Recycle Right. You can win up to $300 for your submittal!
2026 Tukwila City of Opportunity Scholarship Application now available The City of Tukwila Scholarship Program was established in 2014. The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to individuals enrolled for undergraduate study in community colleges, colleges, trade schools and universities.
Statement from the Mayor and City Council regarding statements made by President Trump regarding Somali-Americans Over 30 years ago, the City of Tukwila and South King County began welcoming Somali refugees to our community. We were deeply disappointed and disturbed by President Trump’s recent hateful and divisive remarks about Somali Americans living in Minnesota.
