What does the Planning Commission do?

The Planning Commission recommends amendments and modifications to the City’s Comprehensive Plan and zoning code.

Commission Meetings are now hybrid!

The City is continually adapting to the changing situation and following the guidance and directives of state government and county health officials. At this time, Planning Commission meetings are being conducted in a hybrid fashion. You may watch a live feed of the meeting through Microsoft Teams, call in to listen by phone, or attend in person in City Hall Council Chambers.

Regular Meetings

The Planning Commission typically meets the fourth Thursday of the month, except for during November and December when they meet the 2nd Thursday of the month.  During the review of the Comprehensive Plan, there will be occasional special meetings on other dates.

Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, 6200 Southcenter Blvd, Tukwila, WA.
