About Us

The City of Tukwila’s Emergency Management Division administers an all-hazards community-based emergency management program. Tukwila promotes a disaster resistant and resilient community through partnerships with all levels of government, businesses, non-governmental organizations and the residents and visitors of Tukwila.

The welfare and safety of city residents and visitors is of utmost importance to the Emergency Management Division. The Emergency Management Division offers resources, including free classes, to help residents and businesses prepare for a disaster.Working with partner organizations, we work to identify and mitigate issues prior to an incident. The Emergency Management Division also coordinates the response and recovery efforts through the activation of our Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
