Effective January 1, 2023, the City of Tukwila is contracting with Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority (Puget Sound Fire) for Fire and EMS services. Development and new construction permits and inspections are now administered by Puget Sound Fire’s Community Risk Reduction Division, however, all applications and inspection requests must still be made through the City of Tukwila’s permitting website. All permits and approved plans are required to be on-site at the time of inspection. Building, Fire, and Public Works Permit Inspections
All Building, Fire, or Public Works inspections must be scheduled online prior to 5:00 PM for next day, or for the next available inspection.
Planning inspections must be requested at least three days in advance. Planning staff will coordinate to confirm the inspection and may request to re-schedule based upon staff availability.
