Language Access
Welcome
The City of Tukwila is committed to improving access to City information, programs, services, and opportunities. The City will provide language assistance when possible.
Language Access Plan
Policy Statement: The City of Tukwila recognizes that language for LEP (Limited English Proficiency) persons can be a barrier to accessing services, understanding certain rights, and complying with specific responsibilities. The City acknowledges a responsibility to reduce language barriers by pursuing a more comprehensive approach to language access. The Plan is intended to assist city staff in taking reasonable steps to provide LEP persons with meaningful access to programs and activities provided by the City. The Policy does not create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law by a party against the City, officers, agents, or employees.
