Free Community Emergency Response Team Training – Sep 23

August 28 @ 12:00 pm

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training empowers community members with the skills needed to save lives, reduce injuries, and protect property during emergencies.

On a typical day, emergency responders are highly trained and equipped to handle incidents. However, following a large-scale disaster, first responders may be overwhelmed due to widespread damage, communication failures, or impassable roads. CERT teaches you how to provide emergency assistance safety and effectively until trained responders arrive.

CERT Basic Training is an 8-week program consisting of one class per week and concludes with a hands-on disaster simulation designed to practice the skills

Puget Sound Fire invites individuals who live or work in Covington, Kent, Maple Valley, SeaTac, Tukwila, and King County Fire Districts #37 and #43, to participate in our upcoming CERT Basic Training.

In Fall 2026, Puget Sound Fire will offer two CERT training options, an afternoon class and an evening class.
