Walk & Roll Program
The Walk & Roll Plan was adopted in 2009 and is preserved here primarily as an archival reference. Transportation planning in Tukwila is now guided by the Comprehensive Plan Transportation Element and the City’s Infrastructure Development Manual, which supersede many of the specific project priorities in this plan. Some corridor-level guidance in the Walk & Roll Plan may still be relevant as background reference for nonmotorized infrastructure decisions.
The Walk & Roll Plan was Tukwila’s first nonmotorized transportation plan, establishing projects and priorities for improving streets and trails for pedestrians and bicyclists. The plan and accompanying Complete Streets principles were adopted by City Council in January 2009.
