Tukwila Teen Art Collective Spring Art Show

Call for Youth Artists: Freedom

The Tukwila Teen Art Collective invites young artists to submit artwork for an upcoming art show exploring the theme “Freedom.” What does freedom mean to you?

What does freedom mean to your family, your culture, or your community? Freedom can be expressed in many ways — through color, story, emotion, or imagination. We encourage youth artists to share their unique perspectives and creativity in this special exhibition. Selected artwork will be displayed at Westfield Southcenter Mall, giving young artists the opportunity to showcase their work in a public gallery space and share their voices with the community.

Who Can Submit
Youth 18 and under who live in Tukwila, attend school in Tukwila, or spend time in Tukwila.

Types of Art Accepted

  • Drawing (pencil, markers, etc.)
  • Painting
  • Photography
  • Collage
  • Mixed media
  • Digital art
  • Other 2D artwork

Submission Details

  • Maximum: 3 pieces per artist
  • Deadline to Submit: April 27
  • Artist Notification: By May 1
  • If we receive a large number of submissions, we may need to limit the final selections.

Artwork Guidelines

  • Artwork should be ready to hang if possible.
  • Framed or hangable canvas is preferred for any size artwork.
  • We will have a limited number of frames available for 8″ x 10″ artwork.
  • If you need a frame, please create your piece on 8″ x 10″ paper.

This is your chance to share your creativity, your story, and your vision of freedom with the community.

We can’t wait to see what freedom looks like through your eyes.
