Movie in the Park & Evening Concert Series

Join us for the Movie in the Park & Evening Concert Series on Fridays this August at the Tukwila Community Center!

Enjoy music from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Movies will begin shortly after sunset (8:30 p.m.)

Friday, August 8, 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Join us for an evening jam session! The School of Rock House Band will start the evening at 7 p.m. These 18-and-under musicians will rock the playfield at the Tukwila Community Center and wow attendees with their musical chops! Once the sun sets, Jack Black and crew will take over. School of Rock (the movie) will hit the silver screen at 8:30 p.m., officially launching our summer movie series!

Join us for our second Movie in the Park! We will kick off the evening music from the Sh80s. The Sh80s provide the jams that keep you moving, everything from New Wave, Hair Metal, Synth-Pop to Hip Hop. Once the sun sets, we’ll take in the 80s classic The Princess Bride. Come along for the exciting story of Westley, a farmhand who leaves to seek his fortune after falling in love with Buttercup. He’s presumed dead, and Buttercup is kidnapped by outlaws at the orders of Prince Humperdinck. Westley, now the Dread Pirate Roberts, embarks on a journey to rescue Buttercup and confront the prince, encountering various obstacles and allies along the way.
