Safely Dispose Expired/Unwanted Medicine

Help prevent poisonings, overdoes and harmful substances out of our water and soil. Drop off at a local kiosk or get free prepaid mail-back envelopes.  King County residents can use Washington’s Safe Medication Return Program, a free, state-regulated system for disposing of unwanted household and pet medications.

• Convenient drop-off kiosks across the state
• Free, prepaid mail-back supplies
• Safe disposal managed by trusted providers Inmar Intelligence and MED-Project

• Keep liquids, inhalers, patches, gels, and ointments in original containers
• Pills and powders can be mixed in one container or sealed bag
• Devices with medication are accepted
• Needles (like autoinjectors or syringes) are not accepted in kiosks—use injector mailers instead
