Civil Service Commission
Provides the manner in which civil service (all police personnel and commissioned fire personnel) examinations, appointments, promotions, transfers, demotions, reinstatements, suspensions and discharges are made. Public Safety Committee
The Public Safety Committee considers and provides policy recommendations on legislative matters relating to police, fire, municipal court, public safety facilities, animal control, and emergency services. Committee members are Chair Kathy Hougardy, Dennis Robertson, and Thomas McLeod.
