Tukwila’s annual Tree Giveaway returns for community members! Sign-ups are now open to receive 1-2 free trees for planting in yards and businesses around the City. Tukwila is proud to have been a part of Tree City USA for the past 20+ years, and by planting trees, you help grow our urban forest and help support the City’s tree canopy goals!
Complete the online application by September 15 to secure your free trees. Browse the tree options in the order form and verify there is adequate space for the tree to mature. Trees must be planted on private property within Tukwila city limits. We’ll confirm your tree(s) and send planting information in late September. Species are available first come, first served, so order early for best selection.
Pickup day at Hazelnut Park will be Saturday, October 10 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Staff will be on site to walk you through planting and care. You are responsible for transporting your tree home. Trees will be approximately 3–7 feet tall.
