December 15, 2025: Desimone Levee Breach Information. Evacuation Order in Effect

Avoid West Valley Highway. Tukwila is closing West Valley Hwy southbound at 180th. Kent is closing northbound at 212th. The Desimone Levee has breached. This is a GO NOW evacuation for people in parts of Kent, Tukwila, and Renton. In Tukwila the GO NOW is only for that part of the City that is east of the Green River, south of S. 180th Street and west of West Valley Hwy.

The City or King County has not issued an evacuation for any areas west of the Green River in Tukwila. However, the situation could change and residents and business should be READY in case an evacuation order needs to be issued. More info at https://kcemergency.com

The City is urging residents and businesses in the Southcenter District, West Valley Hwy area, and the eastside of Interurban Ave South (north of I-405 and the north end of Foster Golf Course) to “GET SET” for possible evacuation. More information here
