December 15, 2025: Desimone Levee Breach Information. Evacuation Order in Effect – Update 1:20 P.M.

Avoid West Valley Highway. Tukwila is closing West Valley Hwy southbound at 180th. Kent is closing northbound at 212th. The Desimone Levee has breached. This is a GO NOW evacuation for people in parts of Kent, Tukwila, and Renton. In Tukwila the GO NOW is only for that part of the City that is east of the Green River, south of S. 180th Street and west of West Valley Hwy.

The City or King County has not issued an evacuation for any areas west of the Green River in Tukwila. However, the situation could change and residents and business should be READY in case an evacuation order needs to be issued. More info at https://kcemergency.com

Community Listening Session

February 15, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us as we talk about immigration and safety in our community. City Council leaders will be present to listen to your concerns. This community conversation will be a safe space to discuss concerns, fears, and commitment to protecting all of our residents in our community. Brainstorming and solutions will be discussed. We hope to have community oriented police representatives present.
