Nature Storytelling: Black Stax

July 21, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

| FREE

In this series of 3 free workshops, join guest artists by the river for interactive workshops that highlight some of the many ways nature can show up in writing and storytelling. Whether you’re a song writer, poet, storyteller, reader, or just plain word nerd, these sessions will inspire you and give you tools to think about nature and weave it into your writing. Bring a notebook and your favorite writing tools.

Multi-talented performance group Black Stax honors the legacy of Black music and storytelling. Jace and Felicia will talk about the use of nature metaphor in hip hop, and encourage participants to express themselves in their own words and voices.
