Open House – Police Explorers

We are looking for Explorers!!! What is an Explorer? An explorer is a youth between the ages of 14-20 who is interested in learning more about law enforcement while serving the community.

Explorers receive hands-on training and practical demonstrations in many aspects of law enforcement operations and tactics. Through these demonstrations and continued mentorship, youth are given the opportunity to become leaders in the community. They are provided with lifelong skills that will allow them to succeed in whatever career path they ultimately choose. Our explorer’s also participate in many events such as Special Olympics Tip-A-Cop, National Night Out, Shop With A Cop and many other community functions.

Explorers typically on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM at the Tukwila Police station located at 6200 Southcenter Blvd, Tukwila, WA 98188.


Qualifications:
• Age 14-20
• If in high school, have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
• If already out of high school, you must be a high school graduate or have a GED
• Have no criminal convictions
• Be willing to serve the community
