Tukwila Library Advisory Board
The Tukwila Library Advisory Board serves as an advisory board to the Mayor and City Council of Tukwila.
The Board’s duties include:
- Conducting an annual review of the agreement between the City of Tukwila and the King County Library System.
- Recommend services that should be added to the agreement.
- Help promote library services for the residents of Tukwila and make them aware of the facilities that are available for their use.
- Assist in planning and promoting special programs that support library use, including meeting with public groups, library staff, and the Friends of the Tukwila Library
- Promote library gift giving and offering support for library services.
- Reporting annually to the Mayor and City Council on the status of library services and needs in Tukwila.
Current Community Projects:
- Establishing and sustaining Little Libraries in the following Tukwila parks.
- Support of reading, literacy, and STEAM activities at the Tukwila Learning Center Preschool and Teen Room located at the Tukwila Community Center.
