In preparation for the 2025 tax season, Black Lives Matter Seattle King County (BLMSKC) is offering a free workshop to help you navigate the complexities of the tax system with confidence.
The goal of this workshop is to empower you by building a deeper understanding of your taxes so that you can make informed decisions for your financial freedom. Gain valuable insights into tax basics, tax deductions and the tax-filing process
You must have been a Washington resident for at least six months.

What to Bring?
Social Security Numbers (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN))
W-2 form for each job worked
1040 from 2024
1099 forms for other income (interest, dividends, unemployment, social security income, retirement,
1099-Misc., etc.)
Form 1095A if you purchased health insurance through WA Healthplanfinder or Healthcare.gov
Advanced Child Tax Credit payments you received in 2023
Childcare expenses and provider name, address and tax ID number
Higher education expensesOther
Spouse must be present if married filing jointly
