December 15, 2025: Desimone Levee Breach Information. Evacuation Order in Effect – Update 1:20 P.M.

Avoid West Valley Highway. Tukwila is closing West Valley Hwy southbound at 180th. Kent is closing northbound at 212th. The Desimone Levee has breached. This is a GO NOW evacuation for people in parts of Kent, Tukwila, and Renton. In Tukwila the GO NOW is only for that part of the City south of S. 180th Street and west of West Valley Hwy.

The City or King County has not issued an evacuation for any areas west of the Green River in Tukwila. However, the situation could change and residents and business should be READY in case an evacuation order needs to be issued. See map here.
