Free Community Emergency Response Team Training – Registration is open
February 17 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

You can make a difference in our community by using the CERT training we offer to save lives and protect property.
On a normal day, emergency services personnel are the best trained and equipped to handle emergencies, and we all count on them for their expertise. However, following a catastrophic disaster, emergency response personnel may not be able to help everyone immediately, because of the size of the area affected, loss of communications, and impassable roads.
The Puget Sound Fire CERT program serves the areas of Covington, Kent, Maple Valley, SeaTac/Burien, Tukwila, Fire District #37, and Fire District #43.

About CERT
The CERT concept was developed and implemented by the Los Angeles City Fire Department in 1985. CERT became a national program in 1993. There are now CERT programs in all 50 states, including many tribal nations and U.S. territories. Each is unique to its community. The CERT program offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization.
