Notice of Intent to appoint the Public Safety Bond Financial Oversight Committee
The Tukwila City Council is currently seeking five representatives to serve on the Public Safety Bond Financial Oversight Committee. Its purpose is to independently represent taxpayers concerning the City’s expenditures relating to the bond, by reviewing the allocation of bond proceeds and progress on achieving the purposes of the Proposition.

The City of Tukwila is currently seeking two representatives from businesses and organizations in the City of Tukwila engaged in activities eligible to be funded by lodging tax.
Finalist chosen for the permanent Fire Chief position
The City of Tukwila announced Jay Wittwer as the finalist for the City’s permanent Fire Chief position. His confirmation will be presented to the City Council on Monday, August 1. The meeting will begin at 7:00pm in the Tukwila City Council Chambers. If confirmed, he will be introduced to the Council at a subsequent meeting on August 8.
East Marginal Way will be closed between S. Norfolk and S. 87th on July 16 & 17 for Boeing’s 100th year anniversary celebration.
On July 16th and 17th, Boeing will be celebrating the company’s 100th year anniversary at the Museum of Flight in Tukwila. The event will likely draw up to 150,000 current and former Boeing employees; their families; and guests. As part of the celebration, East Marginal Way will be closed between S. Norfolk and S. 87th.

National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in our fight for a safer nation. On NNO, we invite neighborhoods citywide to join us and “give crime a going away party”.
