City of Tukwila News
The state Shoreline Management Act requires that counties, cities, and towns periodically review and, if necessary, update their Shoreline Master Program (SMP) every eight years. The City of Tukwila’s update started in the fall of 2018 and will be complete in 2019.
This is shaping up to be a big year for the City’s Public Safety Plan. After extensive preparation over the last two years, we are ready to begin construction on Fire Stations 51 and 52, the Tukwila Justice Center, and a consolidated Public Works facility. Fire Station 51 will be the first project to kick off.
