The Tukwila Arts Commission encourages citizen participation in the arts, promotes arts in the Tukwila community and advises City officials on arts matters. The Arts Commission will be seeking to fill this vacancy immediately as they are in the midst of planning the 22nd Annual Fine Arts Show in conjunction with the Backyard Wildlife Festival. The position is open until filled, but a first review of applicants will happen on March 26, 2018.

The City operates a Utility Tax Relief Program for low-income seniors 62 or older, and disabled low income residents. Reduced rates on water/sewer, surface water, garbage service and cable TV bills are also available to persons 62 or older, and disabled low income residents.

The City of Tukwila Scholarship Program was established in 2014. The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to individuals enrolled for undergraduate study in community colleges, colleges, trade schools and universities. The deadline to submit scholarship applications is March 30, 2018.
