We were sad not to have a grand openings for the new Justice Center and Fire Station 51 when they recently went into service. We hope the public will get a chance to visit them as soon as it is safe. Until then, please enjoy these virtual tours of the new facilities.

Department of Natural Resources bans campfires across the state
With the arrival this week of the most dangerous fire weather of the year, Commissioner of Public Lands Peter Goldmark is expanding the statewide burn ban effective noon today, Aug. 17 to prohibit all campfires on DNR-protected lands through Sept. 30, 2016.
Finalist chosen for the permanent Fire Chief position
The City of Tukwila announced Jay Wittwer as the finalist for the City’s permanent Fire Chief position. His confirmation will be presented to the City Council on Monday, August 1. The meeting will begin at 7:00pm in the Tukwila City Council Chambers. If confirmed, he will be introduced to the Council at a subsequent meeting on August 8.
