The Tukwila Arts Commission encourages citizen participation in the arts, promotes arts in the Tukwila community and advises City officials on arts matters. The Arts Commission meets the third Wednesday of each month beginning at 5:00 pm at the Tukwila Community Center.
The Arts Commission will be seeking to fill this vacancy immediately as they are in the midst of planning the 22nd Annual Fine Arts Show in conjunction with the Backyard Wildlife Festival, as well as several other arts related events and projects with the upcoming implementation of the Municipal Arts Plan (Tukwila Arts) once it is fully adopted by the City Council later this spring.
The next Arts Commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21st, 5:00-6:30pm in Meeting Room B at Tukwila Community Center. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend the meeting so that they can see the work the commission is doing. The agenda for this meeting will be available by March 16th. The position is open until filled, but a first review of applicants will happen on March 26, 2018.
