The dream for the area is to have a complete neighborhood and community that is thriving, multi-cultural, residential and business, and is a vibrant place to live, work, shop and play. The neighborhood is safe, walkable and a destination with an authentic main street. There is also an emphasis on attracting self-sustaining, living wage employment opportunities.

A small grant application is available beginning Dec. 1st, to be submitted on or before January 20th, for small capital projects that encourage active transportation (bicycling or walking) or transit use to contribute to the reduction of air pollution, traffic congestion, and fuel consumption in South King County.
Metro is proposing to expand “Night Owl” bus service next year for late-night riders — offering new transit options for getting to or from jobs, the airport, and nightlife between 2 and 5 a.m.
The King County Noxious Weed Program has scheduled a FREE knotweed control workshop at the Tukwila Community Center on May 26th, 6:30 – 8:30pm, where property owners can learn safe and effective control methods that can eliminate this troublesome species.
