Promote Your Business
If you’d like to attract more customers during the World Cup, there are endless ways to promote your business. Here are just a few of the budget friendly ways:
1) Set up a free business profile on Google. You can set up your business profile that will show up in Google Search and Maps. You can personalize it with photos, offers, posts and more. Hint: Be sure to add good photos!
2) Set up a website on the internet. This way people and internet search engines can find your business. If you don’t have the time or knowledge to manage your website, you can hire a website hosting business to help you. Hint: It’s better to start with a very simple website that you can easily keep up to date. Also, professional web developers know how to optimize the content on your website to get higher rankings on the search engines.
3) Set up accounts on social media websites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Yelp, X, etc. Hint: encourage your regular customers to post positive comments and ratings.
4) List your business for free on the Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce website as a FIFA Ready Business.
5) Learn more on marketing. You can get free training through Washington State’s Small Business Development Center(SBDC) and SCORE. Hint: Look for topics on social media, marketing, and effective websites.
6) Talk with a Small Business Advisor. King County and the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce have contracted with advisors to directly assist small businesses with resource navigation, operational readiness, marketing strategies, and day-of preparedness through June 1, 2026. Learn more here.
