Offer Specials to Customers

A great way to attract visitors and new customers during the World Cup is to offer specials or make your customer’s experience a bit more special.  Here are some ideas:

1) Discounts. People love discounts. Hint: to increase your sales, customers need to learn about the discount BEFORE they arrive at your business. If that’s not easy, you could offer a discount for returning customers.

2) Themes. Visitors are looking for unique, local, fun experiences. You could decorate with a soccer theme, create special menu items based on the culture of one of the participating countries (e.g. a Mexican hot chocolate café latte – yum…), or just focus on your favorite country.

3) Freebies.  People love free stuff,  visitors love unique items that are easily packable gifts for friends and families.  For example, could you give away stickers that relate to your business and tie into themes of soccer, Seattle, or Tukwila?

4) Selfie Station. Visitors don’t just want to remember where they traveled, they also want their friends and family to know where they traveled. Enter the selfie-station.  If you have a unique, locally based business, you could create an equally interesting visual spot for selfies.  Post a sign encouraging selfies and ask customers to tag you.
