Ordinances

  • Ordinance 2530: reenacting the Tukwila Municipal Code Chapter 2.29, Equity and Diversity Commission,” to update organizational structure and procedures; providing for severability; and establishing and effective date.
  • Ordinance 2587: establishing regulations relating to compliance with Federal Immigration Laws (TMC 2.98).
  • Ordinance 2670: adding the Nineteenth of June, recognized as Juneteenth, to the list of legal holidays. (TMC 2.52.303.A).

 

Resolutions

  • Resolution 1169: recognizes and honor the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • Resolution 1369: The City support the creation and mission of the Equity and Diversity Commission of Tukwila and will work to ensure the Commission success.
  • Resolution 1474: expressing support for the Campaign to support Racial Justice and for the observance of September 19, 2001, as “Race Equality Day”.
  • Resolution 1559: supporting the national commitment toward achieving access for all in attaining the American dream.
  • Resolution 1649: supporting the efforts to curb global warming, setting numeric goals to reduce municipal emissions and for a baseline study and setting of numeric goals for the reduction of greenhouse gases from the community as a whole.
  • Resolution 1747: the City of Tukwila and King County -Cities will collaborate to create a regional network of local governments dedicated to sharing resources to address the issues of the Climate change and sustainability.
  • Resolution 1900: Commitment to being a diverse, tolerant and inclusive City
  • Resolution 1992: commemorating Juneteenth of each year as an annual celebration of African American emancipation.
